Lead Community Schools Director for Teller Avenue Educational Campus, New York City
Albert Chun is a Lead Community Schools Director working with three middle schools—New Millennium Bronx Academy of the Arts, New Pathways Academy, and South Bronx International Schools—at the Teller Avenue Educational Campus in New York City. As a Lead Community Schools Director, he leads his team in implementing the community school strategy and organizational change in collaboration with school leadership and community partners. Prior to joining CSS, Albert was a founding teacher and later principal at a charter school in the San Francisco Bay Area. During his time there, it became the highest performing school in the district. He later went on to work as a teacher at a nationally top-ranked school, where he co-founded a competitive robotics program. He currently works as the Director of Education Planning Commission at a research institute. Albert earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology and education at the University of California, Berkeley and received his teaching credentials in English and social studies at California State University, East Bay and Alliant International University respectively.
