Albert Chun

Community School Director for Teller Avenue Campus of Community Schools, New York City

Albert Chun is a Community School Director working with the two middle schools of the Teller Avenue Campus of Community Schools, New Millennium Business Academy and Urban Science Academy, in New York City. As a Community School Director, Albert is responsible for the day-to-day management of the community school strategy in collaboration with school leadership and community partners. Prior to joining CSS, Albert was a founding teacher and later principal at a charter school in Richmond, California. During his time there, it became the highest performing school in the district. He later went on to work as a teacher at a nationally top-ranked school in Piedmont, California where he helped establish a competitive robotics program called the Piedmont Pioneers. He currently volunteers as the Director of the Education Planning Commission at Joseon Institute where he writes actionable blueprints for developing countries. Albert earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology and education at the University of California, Berkeley and received his teaching credentials at California State University, East Bay.
