Student & Family Engagement Coordinator for Flushing High School, New York City
Hillary Alvarez is a Student & Family Engagement Coordinator working with Flushing High School in New York City. In this role, she is responsible for the day-to-day management of Flushing’s community school student and family engagement development strategy. Prior to joining CSS, Hillary completed an internship with Stony Brook University Trauma Center in the Injury Prevention Department. She holds a bachelor’s degree in community health from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Cortland, where she worked as a mentor and supervisor of youth transitioning into college through the university’s Educational Opportunity Program.
