National Mentoring Summit 2019

This annual summit will be held at the Renaissance in Washinton, DC. CSS wll be conducting 2 workshops at the Summit:

  • Peer Group Connection: School-Based Peer Mentoring to Promote Student Leadership and Engagement - presented by Margo Ross (Managing Director, Communications & Development) and Beshon Smith (Executive Director, DE, MD, & Washington, DC) on Thurday, January 31, 2019

  • Are We Making a Difference? Low-Cost, High-Impact Strategies for Evaluating Peer Mentoring Programs - presented by Sherry Barr (Managing Director, Operations & Evaluation) and Lindsay Shouldis (Director of Evaluation & Data Management) on Friday, February 1, 2019

Celebrating Supportive Schools Breakfast

Join CSS to celebrate another year of helping more than 50,000 students experience safer and more supportive, engaging, and inspiring learning environments. Our first-ever Celebrating Supportive Schools Breakfast will be held on November 14 in Princeton. This free fundraising event will highlight CSS’s work in three areas: developing all students into leaders; empowering teachers to collaborate with each other and with students; and engaging entire school communities to improve how learning happens.

Peer Group Connection-High School and Peer Group Connection-Middle School Crash Course

This condensed course is offered for those advisors and stakeholders from New York schools that will begin implementing PGC in September 2018 who were not able to attend a 4-day residential training over the summer. It highlights the essential materials presented in Part 1 of the 5-part training series. This training will be held in the Grand Central Conference Room at the TFA Office (25 Broadway, 12th Floor, New York, NY).
