Human Resources Benefits and Compliance Coordinator

Princeton, New Jersey

The full-time Human Resources (HR) Benefits and Compliance Coordinator will be an HR generalist who has experience with compliance requirements for companies with 100+ employees and will provide support for the following HR areas: employee relations, benefits management, onboarding new employees through a Human Resources Management System (HRMS), and be sensitive to organization needs as well as employee goodwill.

 Data Collection and Record Keeping

  • Maintain employee records through a Human Resources Management System (HRMS)

  • Complete audits for Affordable Care Act (ACA) and other government requirements

  • Submit Workers’ Compensation audits to insurer

  • Submit employee census data upon request from insurance providers

  • Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verifications and periodically audit these forms

  • Maintain job descriptions database and ensure that they are updated by employees and their supervisors, as needed

  • Review the accuracy of invoices related to insurance benefits

  • Other duties as assigned from time to time

Benefits Management and Employee Relations

  • Assist with benefits orientation for new hires

  • Respond to employees’ inquiries regarding benefits

  • Escalate claims issues, when necessary, to benefits broker on behalf of employees to achieve a timely and successful resolution

  • Report, maintain, and monitor all Workers’ Compensation case files; follow-up on open cases

Employment Policy

  • Propose internal policy changes to CSS management, when applicable

  • Update internal policy manuals, when required

  • Communicate approved policy changes to employees

  • Conduct research in all areas of employment policy to ensure compliance
